Kansas based duo Sweeping Promises gear up for the release of their highly anticipated second album with title track 'Good Living Is Coming For You'. Their 2020 debut Hunger For A Way Out put the duo made up of Lira Mondal and Caufield Schnug on the map with its taught post-punk angularity and lo-fi DIY aesthetic (the whole album being recorded with one microphone), having already heard singles 'Eraser' and 'You Shatter', the new record is shaping up to be a more than worthy follow up. The final single before Friday's release 'Good Living Is Coming For You' is a thumping dance punk track with a sinister gothic edge that is accompanied by a horror movie visuals directed by Jessica Bardsley. Here the band describe the inspiration for the video, “Drawing from the glamorous and bloodthirsty aesthetic of ‘70s and ‘80s horror films (Daughters Of Darkness, The Hunger, The Lair Of The White Worm, Dream Demon), the visual companion to ‘Good Living Is Coming for You’ channels the song’s unshakable feeling of discontent and encroaching domestic doom through the confines of a DIY horror flick as seen by some nameless sleepless soul on late-night cable, the line between movie and infomercial blurred to infernal effect.” Good Living Is Coming For You is set for release this Friday the 30th June on Feel It/Sub Pop Records. -Toby Evans-Jesra
